Seven Missing, 15 Rescued After Sailboat Sinks Off Sicily

SICILY – At least 1 person is dead, and 6 others, including British software mogul Mike Lynch, are missing after a yacht sank in a violent storm off Sicily’s coast.

Authorities say the yacht, carrying 22 people, went down near Porticello early Monday morning. 15 survivors were rescued, including Lynch’s wife, but his daughter is among the missing.

Rescue operations are ongoing, with experts describing the storm as unusually intense. The cause of the sinking is still under investigation.
