NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man convicted of a non-fatal 2021 shooting has been sentenced to seven years in prison.

Okino Whyms was convicted of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life in relation to the August 11, 2021 shooting of Moses Adderley.

The shooting happened outside of a home on Pink Cassia Avenue in Garden Hills.

Adderley identified his assailant as Neno, which is Whyms’ nickname.

Police arrested Whyms after a high-speed chase on August 21, 2021.

Police officers recovered a loaded 9mm pistol from the car.

Justice Jeanine Weech-Gomez noted that Whyms was a first-time offender and a candidate for rehabilitation.
