NASSAU, BAHAMAS – With the Kool Acres Shantytown now only a pile of rubble and ash, the All Saints Way shanty town is next to be torn down.

Our News team visited the community where structures were clearly marked with eviction notices and numbers.

Our guide and translator took us through the unregulated community that had advanced structures – a vast difference from the Kool Acres shantytown.

The majority of the homes we visited were furnished, with tiles, appliances and utilities.

The general consensus throughout the community, “give us more time”.
