NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A recent and deadly shark attack grabbing international headlines. A local shark expert who dives into the behavior of sharks and what you can do in the event you come face to face with one.

Andre Musgrove is a Bahamian diver, underwater photographer and shark expert. Simply put? He knows a lot about sharks. So I asked him about the recent concerns following a deadly shark attack that killed an American woman earlier this month.

Musgrove says while he’s not familiar with the facts, it’s important for visitors to properly research.

He says these actions can vary. But a big concern is “chumming”.

Some residents also calling for sharks to be tagged.

Fishermen and water sports operators also calling for harvesting. Musgrove disagrees.
