NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A prominent businessman and land developer giving his take on land policies.

A number of local issues were touched on by Sir Franklyn Wilson in a passionate address to University of The Bahamas lecturers and students during the opening ceremonies of their annual business week.

One of these being a call on government to establish land registration.

He says that he wants to see this system put in place during his lifetime

Sir Franklyn poking holes in these policies saying proving ownership presents one of the biggest issues for landowners today.

The oil executive also adding that while an act passed by a previous administration sought to prevent persons from hoarding the land by way of speculation, the policy affected economic activity.
