NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The planned 60-megawatt solar plant for Bahamas Power and Light is expected to lower BPL’s fuel cost by 30 million dollars.

The government has set a goal to achieve 30% renewable energy by 2030.

The plan is to build solar microgrids on the Family Islands as well.

Amid supply chain issues, the BPL CEO says BPL is ramping up maintenance.
