NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Prime Minister Philip Davis saying the government has no preference as to whether former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried will appear before courts here or in the United States. The admission came as the former FTX CEO appeared before the Magistrates’ Court today.

Last week, Bankman-Fried was denied bail and remanded to The Bahamas Department of Corrections. It’s been less than a full week since he has been on remand.

In court today, Bankman-Fried’s attorney Jerone Roberts revealed he was shocked to hear his client would be in court today, adding that he only found out when he was headed to the prison to visit him.
