Nearly $2M Spent On 100 New Trucks

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Royal Bahamas Police Force will get 100 new trucks at a cost of just under $2 million dollars, according to Police Commissioner Clayton Fernander.

The new acquisitions for the Royal Bahamas Police Force was revealed during a press briefing today that was also attended by the prime minister.

The RBPF boasted of 22 new jeeps in early February.

As it relates to those new trucks, police have 37 vehicles on the ground and the remaining 63 vehicles are expected to be here in another week and a half.

Fernander could not give the full compliment of vehicles for the force.

But he did say they have located the areas where increased patrols are needed.
