NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Minister of Youth Sports and Culture Mario Bowleg, extending condolences on the passing of former Bahamian Sprinter Shavez Hart. 

The statement noting that Hart was the third fastest Bahamian of all time in the 100m with a time of 10.10 seconds, he also competed in the 200 meters, closing his career with a personal best of 20.23 seconds in that event.

Hart ran professionally under the Puma brand.

The minister adding that he extends prayers for healing and comfort to the family of the bereaved during this difficult time.
