St. Kitts And Nevis Cannabis Act Now Fully Activated

ST. KITTS AND NEVIS – And, finally the the government of St. Kitts and Nevis has approved the full activation of the Cannabis Act on 4/20, the unofficial holiday celebrating cannabis.

The act signalling government’s intention to clarify a responsible cannabis use and cannabis derivatives regulatory regime within the federation.

The Cannabis Act, passed in 2020, seeks to establish the Medicinal Cannabis Authority to provide for the lawful access to medicinal cannabis as an alternative treatment and for a comprehensive licensing scheme to regulate cultivation, supply, possession and production.

Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew is quoted saying it can provide a sustainable income for his people.
