St. Lucia PM: ‘We Can Restore the Safety and Stability of Our Country’

ST.LUCIA – In Saint Lucia, Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre pledged stronger action following a weekend of deadly gun violence.

Pierre, who also serves as Minister for National Security, assured citizens that safety and stability can be restored after Saturday’s shootings in Castries left three dead and several injured.

He said police have a crime strategy in place, with increased patrols and surveillance in hotspot areas.

The Prime Minister urged patience with heightened checkpoints and called for public cooperation, emphasizing that combating crime is a collective responsibility.

Authorities noted that stricter gun laws are already in effect to ensure swift justice.
