NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Responsible drinking was the topic of discussion at a University of The Bahamas forum this afternoon. The institution partnering with Commonwealth Brewery Ltd. and other corporate partners to host a responsibility forum focusing on education and awareness.

Public Relations and Brands Specialist for the University of The Bahamas, Renbert Mortimer the second, notes that back in 2017, the university made it a policy that all students be educated on about the campus’ drinking policies.

Officer in Charge of the Road Traffic Department, Chief Supt. David Lockhart, noting that as it stands, if an officer suspects that a driver is drunk, the person must give consent for a blood or urine sample, which makes the job of an officer quite difficult.

Heineken Brand Manager, Michaela Munnings and Corporate Relations and Sustainability Manager for CBL, Kendria Ferguson both say they are pleased to spread the message of responsible drinking. Heineken 0.0 percent is being touted as the world’s leading non-alcoholic beer and they say they plan to take the message to the entire community.
