Still No Answers 1 Year After American Disappears During Yoga Retreat

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – June 19th marks one year since 41-year-old Chicago native Taylor Casey was last seen on Paradise Island, and there are still no answers.

Her disappearance has left her family and friends still on the hunt for answers.

Police first releasing this missing persons flyer on back on June 21st, 2024, two days after Taylor Casey was last seen.

Early on in her disappearance, her distraught family made this facebook page asking for any clues to finding the missing American.

In a press release, they say Taylor was last seen at Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat on Paradise Island, adding that they’re deeply concerned over what’s happened, saying “Taylor would never disappear like this.”

The story of her disappearance appeared on major U.S. networks including CNN, NBC, CBS, NewsNation, and ABC.

Emily Williams, a close friend of missing American Taylor Casey, addressing American media during a press conference that was held in Chicago on July 11th.

In the interview provided by NewsNation, Casey’s family and friends said they were fed up with the investigation by the Royal Bahamas Police Force.

The family also traveled to The Bahamas to meet with detectives.

That same day, Casey’s mother, Colette Seymore said the ordeal has been unbearable.

By late June, Police revealed that they found Taylor’s cell phone in the water, but authorities were not able to retrieve information from it.

On June 27th, National Security Minister Wayne Munroe has said the Federal Bureau of Investigations was assisting police, and there hasn’t been much said on the case since.

Our News reached out to police this week for an update on the case, and they told us that it remains an active investigation.
