Submerged Plane, Runways Flooded At Brazil Airport

BRAZIL – This footage captured a submerged plane and runways under water in Southern Brazil on Tuesday (May 7) after heavy rain lashed the city of Porto Alegre.

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva asked Congress on Monday to recognise a state of public emergency for the heavy rains.

Floods have destroyed roads and bridges in several cities triggering landslides and leaving a path of destruction.

The devastating rains have taken the lives of 90 and left over 130 people missing in the country’s southernmost state of Rio Grande Do Sul.
