NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A Supreme Court judge has given the grandmother and former girlfriend of a murder case fugitive an ultimatum: bring him to court by February 7 or pay $30,000.

Senior Justice Cheryl Grant-Thompson told the women they stood to lose a lot if they don’t find Rashad Paul.

When they posted Paul’s $30,000 bail, the women assumed responsibility for ensuring that he appeared in court and followed the terms of his release.

They both claimed they last saw Paul on January 3, three days before police say he cut off his ankle bracelet and killed a man on East Street.

Since then, his $30,000 bail for the 2019 murder of Kirby Jean has been revoked and a warrant issued for his arrest.

Grant-Thompson said that if Paul isn’t in custody by next week, they would have to pay the bail bond.

His grandmother used her house as collateral to sign bail and the former girlfriend with whom he has a child used a job letter.
