SURINAME – Former Surinamese President Desiré Bouterse and his bodyguard are now wanted for murder after they failed to surrender on January 12th.

SURINAME – Former Surinamese President Desiré Bouterse and his bodyguard are now wanted for murder after they failed to surrender on January 12th.

Bouterse was recently sentenced to 20 years, while two of his bodyguards were sentenced to 15 years each, for 1982 political murders including journalists.

Bouterse’s wife recently confirmed he would not comply with the prosecutor’s order.

Police now urging the public to report any information on their whereabouts.
