NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas Insurance Association is taking strides to see how the Bahamian insurance industry can help shape the way the country navigates the risks involved with climate change.

They recently held a climate change luncheon, co-sponsored by Bahamas First.

The association’s education committee chairman is Felicia Knowles.

Knowles says insurance companies having more of a handle on the risks associated with climate change could help lower the currently rising premiums brought on by the increasing risks.
