NASSAU, BAHAMAS – It’s a fresh new year and many of us take the reset of the calendar as an opportunity to reset our habits and it’s simpler than you think to incorporate some eco friendly habits into that list.

An easy one to get started with, would be to use less plastic.

You can start with committing to use a refillable water bottle, and switch to portable reusable travel utensils for lunchtimes instead of getting single use utensils every day.

Cut down on online shopping and try to support local businesses more in 2025.

While it may not be possible to find what you’re looking for in the end, you can make a commitment to at least check locally first before shipping items from hundreds or thousands of miles away.

Whilst you’re shopping locally, check out your local farmer’s market!

Opting for locally-grown produce and lIvestock not only reduces the carbon footprint of food shipments, it also supports those local farmers in helping our own agriculture industry bloom and increase our food sovereignty!

Whatever your eco-friendly resolution is, and no matter how small a shift, it’s still a step in the right direction for a greener 2025.
