TCI: Man Murdered At Youth Week Event

TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS – The Turks and Caicos Islands governor and premier have expressed their outrage about the tragic end to the territory’s youth week festivities.

In a statement Sunday, Governor Dileeni Daniel-Selvaratnam and Premier Washington Misick said the murder of Sevano Wilson was a blemish on “An inspiring week of events celebrating the talents and achievements of our youth.”

Daniel-Selvaratnam and Misick sent condolences to the bereaved family and asked the public to assist police with their investigation.

The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police force reported Wilson, 21, was stabbed during an altercation at a youth week event on Governor’s Beach.
