In a historic move, Team Bahamas makes a bold statement at the CAC Youth Chess Festival in El Salvador, running from August 1st to August 8th, 2024. Representing the largest delegation ever sent by the Bahamas Chess Federation to an international chess youth festival, this team of nine talented students showcases their skills on a global stage. 

The CAC Youth Chess Festival brings together young chess players from 42 Central American and Caribbean nations, fostering both competitive spirit and cultural exchange. This event offers a pivotal opportunity for the burgeoning chess talent from The Bahamas to compete at a high level and gain invaluable international experience. The Bahamas Chess Federation works tirelessly to ensure these athletes have the chance to shine. The Federation’s board demonstrates remarkable dedication and resourcefulness in supporting these players. 

The team comprises a mix of experienced and rising stars, selected based on their outstanding performances in this year’s Chess Scholastic Tournament across various age groups.
