NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas national rugby team lost an international friendly to Jamaica, 52–15.

The Bahamas found themselves in a 21–0 hole early before finally getting on the board with a kick. Despite the early deficit, they played competitively for much of the match before giving up a torrent of tries late in the game, allowing Jamaica to widen their lead.

Head coach for Team Bahamas, Stephen Thompson, says that despite the final score, he was proud of his team’s effort and is looking forward to playing more matches in the future.

Jamaica’s newest head coach, George Saunderson, also shared his thoughts, noting that he’s enjoying The Bahamas. His team, which came together from all over the world, proudly represented the 876.

Fight to the Finish: Mako Aquatics Continue Their Dominance

The New Providence-based program, Mako Aquatics, continues to dominate the competition as the swimming nationals press on.

At the time of recording, Mako solidified their lead with a staggering 2,343 points, winning 101 gold medals, 59 silver medals, and 49 bronze medals.

Alpha Aquatics and Barracuda Swim Club are neck-and-neck in the race for second place. Alpha is currently in second with 1,072 points, collecting 25 gold, 34 silver, and 24 bronze medals. Barracuda is right behind with 1,031 points, earning 13 gold, 25 silver, and 27 bronze medals.

Blue Waves Swim Club rounds out the top four with 901 points, having claimed 8 gold, 18 silver, and 19 bronze medals.

With the competition heating up, all eyes are on the pool to see who will rise in the final stretch.
