NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas national team beat Belize last in CONCACAF round robin play. The team is now undefeated in the tournament with a 2 and 0 record.

The CONCACAF Beach Soccer Cup concluded a second successful day on Tuesday night with The Bahamas coming out of it undefeated.

Team 242 beat Belize 6-2 thanks to two goals apiece from James Thompson and Evelt Julemis. Kyle Williams and Jean Francois also added goals to put The Bahamas over the top.

Here’s what Thompson had to say about his scoring first goals.

Despite being one of his team’s leading goal scorers, Thompson is focused on the bigger picture.

Evelt Julemis talked about bouncing back from Monday night’s rough game to play in Tuesday’s win.

Julemis had fun out there, scoring two goals in 3 seconds.

Tonight is the final night of round-robin play and if you’re joining us live, The Bahamas is playing a tough opponent in Mexico at this very moment.

So, get out there to the bridge and check them out.

Moving on to some NBA action,

Bahamians Klay Thompson and Deandre Ayton are on the brink of elimination from the NBA playoffs.

Deandre Ayton’s Phoenix Suns fell to 3-2 against the Denver Nuggets after a 118-102 loss last night.

Ayton had one of his better games in the series, going for 14 points and 9 rebounds. But, he struggled to contain Nuggets center Nikola Jokic who had a virtuoso performance with 29 points, 13 rebounds and 12 assists.

The Suns face a potential elimination game on Thursday night.

Klay Thompson’s Golden State Warriors are also staring elimination in the face tonight in game 5 of their series against the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Warriors fell to 3-1 on Monday night after losing to the lakers 104-101. Klay scored just 9 points on 6 of 11 shooting.

We’ll see if they can extend the series or if they get sent home.
