BARBADOS – Team Bahamas widened its lead on day two of the 29th edition of the Goodwill Games.

Team Bahamas added more medals to their tally on day two, widening the gap over Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago.

The first gold of the day came from Grace Nottage in the Girls 9-10 200m IM, with teammate Hannah Astwood finishing third in the same race.

Harold Simmons, who hails from Grand Bahama, also claimed gold in the 200m IM, walking us through his race from start to finish.

In the Girls 15-17 200m, Alanna Murray and Alexia Zatarain brought home gold and silver, despite being tired from the night before. Their determination and teamwork shone through.

Rafael McBroom and team captain Michael Fox claimed gold and bronze in the Boys 15-17 200m, helping strengthen Team Bahamas’ lead.

With day two now in the history books, Assistant Coach Ashton Knowles shared his overall assessment.
