NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 17-year-old boy accused of inappropriately touching his younger sister has been granted $9,500 bail.

The boy, who cannot be named because he’s a minor, is accused of indecent assault.

Prosecutors allege that he touched his eight-year-old sister in a sexual way between January and August of this year.

He was remanded to prison at his arraignment before the Juvenile Court.

He was granted bail by Justice Cheryl Grant-Thompson on the condition that he wears an ankle bracelet and he doesn’t come within 100 feet of his sister.

The accused will live with another relative while on bail.
