NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A teen accused of killing a 27-year-old father-of-three will have a court-appointed lawyer represent him af his trial.

Ahkeem Nixon, 18, told a judge during a status hearing that he had not hired a lawyer.

Nixon will learn which lawyer has been assigned to the case when he appears before Justice Neil Brathwaite on October 27.

Nixon, otherwise known as “Keemy”, 18, is accused of the March 11 murder of Edward Thompson.

He was shot dead while walking along Fleming Street in New Providence by an assailant on a bicycle.
