NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 16-year-old Pinewood Gardens resident has been arraigned for killing three people and trying to kill five others in separate incidents this month.

The teenager faced murder charges in the deaths of Ainsley Russell, Jaordly Avril and McKel Bain.

Prosecutors said Russell was fatally shot in Redland Acres on August 12. Parnato Glinton was also injured during the same incident.

The following day, prosecutors said the teenager fatally shot Meckel Bain in the front of his home on Kenilworth Avenue in South Beach.

He is also accused of fatally wounding Jaordly Avril and seriously injuring four others, including two minors, while they attended a baby shower at a home on Stack Avenue in Nassau Village on August 13.

The juvenile was not required to enter pleas to the charges when he made his initial court appearance before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt on Monday, August 29.

He was remanded to the Simpson Penn School For Boys.

The minor is expected to appear before the Juvenile Court on December 13 to receive voluntary bill of indictments that will transfer his cases to the Supreme Court.
