NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man is facing charges after a dispute with his landlords allegedly escalated.

Prosecutors say the disagreement between Shaquille Douglas and his Kirkland and Serenity Taylor ended in violence.

Prosecutors allege that on August 31, 2024, Douglas assaulted the Taylors with a hammer, threatened to kill them.

What’s more, he’s accused of trashing their apartment, causing damage to the tune of $2,595.92.

Douglas, 28, denied charges of assault with a dangerous instrument, threats of death and causing damage at his arraignment before Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckley.

His bail was set at $4,500. He’s next back in court on February 12 for the start of his trial.
