NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Junkanoo season is officially in full swing and National Junkanoo Committee Chairman Andrew Pinder says the partnership with ALIV marks a new era, one where tradition and technology move in rhythm.

For the thousands of families who struggle every year to get a seat on Bay Street, ALIV says they heard the complaints, loud and clear.

Chief Aliv Officer John Gomez says the focus this year is improving the experience from the moment you buy your ticket to the moment you find your seat.

The biggest headline for everyday people is more tickets, a lot more.

Culture Minister Mario Bowleg says the public has demanded more access and this year, they’re finally getting it.

ALIV executives confirm the number of public seats has jumped, with more than 3,000 new opportunities for families who normally miss out in minutes.

As for ticket prices? They’ll start at $27.50 plus VAT, all the way up to $260 plus VAT for the brand-new skybox pavilion.

For anyone worried about app crashes, ALIV says they’re ready.

The NJC also says the partnership is not just about ticketing, as Culture Minister Mario Bowleg added it’s about strengthening the creative economy and carrying Junkanoo forward.

Tickets go on sale Monday at 10AM, and both online and in-store officials urge people to set up their accounts early to avoid the rush.
