NASSAU, BAHAMAS – This Mother’s Day we are paying respect to the mothers who work to bring you the news nightly.

Our News Producer Tanya- Smith Cartwright is a mother of one son. When she’s not consumed with her duties she’s spending time with her son.

She recounts what it was like being a young reporter and a young mother.

She says she didn’t get a pass even though she was a mother.

Then there’s Jasmin Brown, the assignment editor at Our News.

She’s the mother of one daughter, she too had to balance the everyday hustle of news and the demands of motherhood.

Like most moms she loves the quality time with her daughter and husband.

Italia Hall is the newest mom at Our News.

She had to deal with the struggle of uplifting and moving to New Providence with a baby.

But she says she’s getting the hang of balancing.
