NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines is strengthening ties with The Bahamas; the company, officially opening its office in downtown Nassau last week.

RCI ships have visited The Bahamas for decades, bringing millions of passengers, contributing to economic growth in the tourism sector.

For RCI Group Bahamas President Philip Simon it’s been a win-win situation for both the company and the country.

The company is continuing it’s partnership with the opening of it’s Royal Beach Club in December this year.

The multi-million dollar project has stirred up its fair share of controversy after RCI was given the land over Bahamian entrepreneur Toby Smith.  There have also been environmental concerns.

But Simon says not only did they follow protocols, he says the project is designed to put money in the pockets of hard working Bahamians.
