NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Ministry of Works is made up of people with different specialties all coming together to make the network of roads better for Bahamians.

Jermaine Delancey’s department is responsible for the construction of speed humps, which are used to control speed on long roads.

It may be surprising to know that speed bumps are put in place at the request of residents within the community.

Delancey adds that signs and markings are lacking throughout the island and across the country. Something his small staff is working to address.

If you have any concerns as it relates to signage or other Ministry of Works-related issues, you can contact the ministry’s hotline via WhatsApp at 376-0936.
