NASSAU, BAHAMAS – On Monday the parents of a two-year-old was charged with manslaughter by negligence after the toddler was found unresponsive while hanging out of the window of his parents car.

Our News recently speaking with Pediatrician, Dr. Tamara Moss about the unfortunate situation.

She highlights the importance of car seats and parents using them correctly.

Dr. Moss says if you put your child in an adult seat belt and it doesn’t fit then a booster seat is needed which she says can be used for kids until the age of 7 or up to 60 pounds.

As for car seats, she says it was once recommended by age but that has now changed.
