NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police have charged a third suspect in a recent shooting that left a man dead.

Prosecutors say 28-year-old Dondre Ramsey played a role in the July 20 murder of Elvardo Thompson.

The murder took place near the East Street South Police Station in Pinewood Gardens.

Ramsey is also charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life after one of his alleged partners in crime allegedly opened fire on PC 4476 McHardy during a police pursuit.

Ramsey didn’t have to enter pleas to the charges when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckley.

He was denied bail and the matter was adjourned to November 28 for him to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.

Ramsey’s alleged accomplices Jamaal Hamilton and Shanton McSweeney were charged on Friday.

Their matter was adjourned to December 12.
