NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Public concern grows as the country records double-digit murders for the month of June with three men killed in the capital over the past three days alone, meanwhile, police remain adamant their efforts against these types of crimes are working. Our Jean Joseph has the details on this most recent murder.

A murder recorded on Friday for the third consecutive day in the capital bringing June’s murder-count to 10.

The latest victim was a man in his mid thirties, who police say was ambushed by a gunman who fatally shot him as he was waiting to pick someone up from a plaza near East Street And Robinson Road.

Police say initial evidence does not indicate the latest string of murders are related.

As alarm bells ring, the police say they continue to employ several tactics that prove successful, yet the criminal element remains ever-present.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and ask for the public’s assistance in solving this and other crimes.
