NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 34-year-old man has been sentenced to 35 years in prison for murder.

Justice Guillimina Archer-Minns handed Daniel Rolle the sentence on Thursday.

In December 2024, he was unanimously convicted of the January 15, 2012 murder of Dennis Tynes.

At around 2p.m. on the day in question, Tynes was at his mechanic on Lincoln Boulevard when he was accosted by a gunman wearing a hooded jacket.

The gunman shot Tynes in the head, back and left shoulder.

Rolle confessed to the crime; however, he claimed the confession was made under duress.
