NASSAU, BAHAMAS – More than 300 potholes were filled each month, over the past five months, according to Ministry of Works Assistant Engineer Bahiyyah Hepburn.

The pandemic, increase in rain, and the inability to retrieve equipment contributed to the pothole crisis, Hepburn explained at a press conference.

Despite the overflow of complaints, Hepburn says utility employees are working seven days per week to alleviate the pothole crisis.

Hepburn apologizes to the public for any inconvenience caused.
