Tiktok Ban Blocked In U.S. Senate
USA – Missouri Senator Josh Hawley tried to force a senate vote Wednesday on legislation to ban Tiktok from operating in the United States.
USA – Missouri Senator Josh Hawley tried to force a senate vote Wednesday on legislation to ban Tiktok from operating in the United States, but he was blocked by a fellow republican.
This as lawmakers in both chambers are still trying to figure out what action, if any, is appropriate against the social media app.
Hawley says the bill “Sends the message to communist China that you cannot buy us.”
Influencers joined lawmakers outside of congress on Wednesday to protest restrictions.
