NASSAU, BAHAMAS – On this day in Bahamian history – on September 28th, 2012, former Attorney General Paul Adderley.

Adderley was one of the longest-serving attorney generals. He also held a number of ministerial posts in the Pindling administration and was considered one of the “most brilliant legal minds in the country,” as one of the framers of the Bahamas’ constitution.

His state funeral took place at Christ Church Cathedral.

Also that year, former Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham was on the defense about the 52-week jobs program.

And in 2018, a supreme court order was handed out preventing the media and public from discussing the bribery case of former PLP Cabinet Minister Shane Gibson.
