Trio Arraigned for $1M Cat Cay Drug Bust Case
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Two men and a woman who were arrested after $1 million in cocaine was seized in Cat Cay made their first court appearance Thursday.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Two men and a woman who were arrested after $1 million in cocaine was seized in Cat Cay made their first court appearance Thursday.
Cat Cay residents Rudolph Higgs, Rochelle Higgs, and Jesnel Etienne faced charges of conspiracy to possess cocaine with intent to supply and possession of cocaine with intent to supply at their arraignment before Magistrate Samuel McKinney.
Police said they seized 249 pounds of cocaine when they searched a vessel at the Cay Cay marina on February 12.
The accused pleaded not guilty and were each granted $60,000 bail.
Their trial is set for April 24 and 25.
