TEXAS – U.S. President Donald Trump is defending Attorney General Pam Bondi as pressure mounts from his base over the justice department’s refusal to release more documents tied to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation.

Trump scolded a reporter who raised the issue at a cabinet meeting, calling it inappropriate in light of the Texas flood tragedy.

His remarks signal continued support for Bondi, despite backlash from far-right influencers accusing her of misleading the public.

Criticism reignited after the justice department admitted no Epstein “client list” exists, contradicting Bondi’s earlier suggestion that such a document was on her desk.

Bondi now says she was referring to the general case file.
