Trump Threatens Additional Tariffs On China, Terminates Talks

UNITED STATES – U.S. President Donald Trump is turning up the heat on China, threatening an extra 50% tariff if Beijing doesn’t back off its own.

In a Truth Social post Monday, Trump said all talks with China would be off the table, and the U.S. would start negotiating with other countries instead.

He also called on the fed to cut interest rates, claiming oil, food, and borrowing costs are down.

Markets reacted quickly as stocks slipped and the dollar ticked up, meanwhile the White House denied any talk of a 90-day tariff pause.
