NASSAU, BAHAMAS – More than a year after a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Progressive Liberal Party and trade unions, there are a number of unresolved issues.

While praising the Davis administration for its commitment to a memorandum of understanding signed in August 2021, the Trade Union Congress president says some issues remain outstanding.

The MOU called for the enactment of a livable wage.

Back in August, TUC President Obie Ferguson said nurses were extremely happy along with Grand Bahama teachers.

The MOU also calls for land to be given to each umbrella union to build their national headquarters.

It also spoke to the full roll-out of National Health Insurance.
