NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Two security guards are lucky to be alive tonight after being shot in an attempted armed robbery in broad daylight at the Palmdale Shopping Centre.

The area in front of RBC and Lowes Pharmacy is the crime scene.

Top brass from the police force are part of the investigating team, led by Police Commissioner Clayton Fernander.

Police say the shooting victims were alert when treated and transported from the scene.

This video obtained by Our News from inside the bank, moments after the shooting, shows a wounded security officer lying outside with confused patrons looking on.
