UNITED STATES – The Associated Press has obtained a new agreement showing U.S. immigration and customs enforcement will now get access to personal data of all 79 million Medicaid enrollees, including home addresses and ethnicities.

The data, provided by the centers for medicare and medicaid services, will help ICE locate immigrants who may be in the country illegally.

Health officials say it’s meant to root out Medicaid fraud but critics call it a serious breach of privacy.

It’s the latest move in the Trump Administration’s hardline immigration crackdown.
