MIDDLE EAST – Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken departed for the Middle East on Monday, aiming to push ceasefire negotiations following the death of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.

This marks Blinken’s eleventh trip to the region since the October 7th Hamas attack on Israel, which ignited the ongoing Gaza war.

Blinken’s discussions with regional leaders will focus on ending the Gaza conflict, planning for Gaza’s future post-conflict, and pursuing diplomatic resolutions between Israel and Hezbollah.
