VENEZUELA – U.S. military forces seized a Venezuela-linked oil tanker in the Caribbean on Tuesday, marking the 7th such apprehension since President Donald Trump launched a month-long campaign to control Venezuela’s oil exports.

The U.S. Southern Command said on social media that forces boarded the motor vessel Sagitta “without incident,” enforcing a quarantine on sanctioned ships operating in the region.

Trump’s push comes after U.S. forces captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro earlier this month, as the U.S. asserts control over the country’s crude exports.
