CARIBBEAN – A U.S. military ship docked in Southern Puerto Rico Tuesday as military maneuvers continue across the Caribbean, amid rising tensions with Venezuela.

In recent months, President Donald Trump has stepped up pressure on Caracas, with a significant U.S. military build-up in the region.

The Trump administration says it does not recognize Nicolás Maduro as Venezuela’s legitimate president.

Maduro claimed re-election last year, but the vote was rejected by the United States and other Western governments.
