U.S. Pres. Aims to Deliver Reassurance in S.O.U. Address

UNITED STATES – United States President Joe Biden was set to offer a reassuring assessment of the nation’s condition, over flashy policy proposals as he delivers his second State of the Union address on Tuesday night.

His speech before a politically divided Congress comes as the nation struggles to make sense of confounding crosscurrents at home and abroad, particularly economic uncertainty, the war in Ukraine and tensions with China.

Just a quarter of U.S. adults say things in the country are headed in the right direction.
