UNITED STATES – Just days after fining Ford up to $165 million for recall delays, the U.S. government launched two new investigations into recall issues.

The biggest probe covers 457,000 Ford Bronco Sports and Mavericks recalled for sudden power loss. Now, some owners say the fix didn’t work.

Another investigation targets 113,000 ford expeditions from 2019-2020. Ford recalled 78,000 for faulty seat belts, but three complaints involve vehicles outside the recall.

Regulators want to know if more cars should be included.

Ford says it’s cooperating as scrutiny ramps up.
