UNITED STATES – The Trump administration is widening its crackdown on immigration, this time targeting people who already hold valid U.S. Visas.

The state department confirmed Thursday it is reviewing more than 55 million visa holders worldwide for any violations that could lead to deportation.

Officials say every holder is now under continuous vetting, including social media checks, immigration and law enforcement records, and possible ties to terrorism.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio also announced the U.S. will stop issuing work visas for foreign truck drivers, saying they endanger americans and undercut U.S. jobs.

Critics including the Council on Foreign Relations, warn the move could worsen labor shortages and disrupt supply chains.
